Requirements for Office
House: 1.be at least twenty-five years old. 2.Have been a citizen of the United States for the past seven years 3.Be an inhabitant of the statethey represent.
Senate: 1. Must beat least 30 years old.
2. U.s citizen for at least 9 years.
3.Have fulfilled the requirements for residency in the state the person wishes to represent.

How a Bill Becomes a Law
Introducing a bill- Step 1
~Only congress can introduce a bill, and it is dropped into a box and waits to be read aloud in a congressional meeting.
Committees- Step 2
~Bill is sent to committees, the bill can also be sent to subcommittees, or ignored and killed.
Floor Action- Step 3
~Congressman argue for the bill on the floor and changes can be made, this is where a filibuster could take place.
Voting On a Bill- Step 4
~Congress vote on the bill, in order for the vote to take place a "quorum" must be present.
Conferencing- Step 5
~The house and senate pass two different bills.
Voting again- Step 6
~The house and senate vote on the bill once again now that it is the same.
